Hand-stitching & Mending

Instructor: Genie Allen

Learn simple hand-stitches that will allow you to mend & repair your clothing with confidence. By mending holes, rips, and tears, you can extend the life of your family’s clothing. In this class, we will cover the running stitch, the backstitch, the whipstitch, and how to sew on a button. Visible mending using embroidery and patches can add interesting detail & embellishment to your clothing. Ages 10 and up (minors must have an adult present).


Genie taught herself to sew as a child and is an avid reader and miniature maker. She studied costume design & art history at the U of A and has taught art, ESL, and science. She is a creative arts instructor, tutor, and Community Education Coordinator.

Learn To Use Your Computer

Instructor: Courtney Clark

This class is an easy, simple introduction to computers for beginners. Using hands-on exercises and clear instructions, you’ll start with elementary computer concepts and basic navigation of the Windows system. You’ll learn how to use the mouse, cursor, desktop, and taskbar. The fundamentals of word processing will be covered, and you will be introduced to basic file browsing and file management, web browsing basics, and email attachments.


Courtney is a Berryville business owner and manager and has taught as adjunct faculty at bg真人游戏注册 in Business & I.T. for 10+ years. She has many hobbies, including baking, photography, piano, and reading, and is known for carrying around a box of computer parts for spontaneous show and tell. She loves learning and sharing her knowledge with others.
